As it’s getting close to Christmas, I wanted to share with you some of my top choices for gifts for  foodies in your life. Here you will find a wide range of gifts, from kitchen gadgets, to cook books to some novelty items. It’s always a good idea to get on the side of the chef over the festive period!

This is one of my favourite cooking books from the renowned Thomas Keller.  It is more of a coffee table book than a practical everyday cooking guide.  Filled with beautiful photography, it’s great for learning new (and fancy!) techniques.  I was really thrilled when I got my copy and anyone passionate about food will truly love this.

If I had to chose one Chef to get drunk with, it would be this guy! If someone is a fan of his shows, ‘No Reservations’ and ‘The Layover’ then get them this immediately.  ‘Kitchen Confidential’ is an amazing insight into how he got started in food amidst a life of sex, drugs and rock n roll in New York.

For those of you who have a Junior Masterchef in the family, this is a great recipe book to keep them occupied and learning.  Full of healthy and tasty recipes to encourage them not just to eat burgers and fries!

I was thrilled when I got my chefs blowtorch a couple of Christmas’ ago. Great for browning sugar on desserts or searing meat.  Plus you look pretty cool using it 😉 This is an awesome gift for a keen chef in your life.

Everything about this meat grinder is just awesome.  Yes, you can get the electric ones, but if you are going to grind meat then I feel you should put a little effort in! Trust me, your sausages and burgers will be AMAZING! I also love the retro look of this model, it feels like a family heirloom! For inspiration, check out my Homemade Pork, Stilton & Walnut Sausages!

Measuring spoons are a must for anyone cooking at home, especially those bakers amongst us.  These narrow spoons are perfect for getting into spice jars without creating a mess, and they are dishwasher safe to boot.

These little chalkboards are perfect place settings for people that love to throw dinner parties, and the best thing is you can use them over and over again.  A perfect gift to give on Christmas morning to make that dinner table extra special!

What’s Christmas without some novelty socks?! These are perfect for the food lover in your life! Burgers, bacon, donuts and ice cream are the best way to accessorise a foodies feet!

If I was a few years younger, this food truck would definitely be on my list!! If you have a little person you want to start training up to be a food truck top chef you need to get this! Start ’em early!

Last but definitely not least for my gifts for foodies guide is something on my wish list! Anyone who spends time in their kitchen will love you forever if you buy one of these! The attachments that are available for the KichenAid are never ending, this is the gift that keeps on giving!  Good looking and a kitchen workhorse, this bad boy is everything.  Please contact me directly if you would like to buy me one!
