Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces carrot chips (225g / half a bag of carrot chips)
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Savory seasoning

Sweet seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380F / 190c.
  • Place the carrot chips in a bowl with the oil and choice of seasonings. Toss well to combine.
  • Place the carrots in the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • For crispier chips, increase the cooking time to 15 minutes, but keep your eye on them so that they don't burn.

Notes

  • If cutting your own carrot chips, it's best to cut them on the diagonal and as evenly as possible. A mandolin works great.
  • Make sure that each piece of carrot is well coated in the oil and seasonings so that they crisp up and cook evenly.
  • Have fun making these with different seasoning mixes!
  • Nutritional information is based on one serving of savory carrot chips.
  • Recipe is easily doubled, though you may want to shake the basket and extra couple of times during cooking.
