Ingredients

  • 4 ounces gin (120ml / 2 shots)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • juice of half a lime
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Add a good amount of ice to your shaker, then add in the other ingredients.
  • Shake for one to two minutes until the ingredients are combined and the gin is icy cold.
  • Pour into shot glasses and garnish with a slice of lime.

Notes

  • You can use your favorite gin for these shooters. If you use a more expensive gin, you may want to use just a squeeze of lime juice rather then half a lime so that you really enjoy those botanicals.
  • One of the secrets to a really smooth gin shot is to get it icy cold. Shake the ingredients with a good helping of ice, and shake for a good couple of minutes so everything is well combined and cold. The ice will help to dilute the gin slightly to and remove and harshness.
  • Use fresh lime juice. No excuses!
