Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400F / 200c.
  • Cut the cauliflower through the stem into thick slices, about 1 to 1½ inches in thickness. Depending on the size of the cauliflower, you will get between 2 and 4 steaks.
  • Place the steaks on parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Place the butter, garlic powder, black pepper, buffalo sauce and honey in a small pot. Heat on a medium heat and stir til everything is well combined.
  • Brush the buffalo sauce mix all over the cauliflower steaks so that they are fully coated.
  • Place in the oven and cook for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges are browned and they are tender. Gently flip halfway through cooking.
  • Top with a drizzle of ranch, blue cheese crumbles and fresh chives to serve.

Notes

  • To make them in an air fryer, coat the cauliflower steaks in the buffalo sauce and then cook at 350F for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Cut the steaks thick, about an inch to an inch and a half. As they are roasted they will get thinner as they lose some of their water.
  • Cut the steaks through the stalks so that they hold together. No worries if they fall apart, they'll still be delicious!
