The best Mexican Flank Steak Tacos recipe - also known as Carne Asada Tacos! Marinaded tasty beef is grilled to perfection and topped with corn salsa for tasty authentic street food.
Add all of the marinade ingredients to a large bowl and give it a mix.
Stab the steak a few times with a fork and rub in some salt.
Add the steak to the marinade and cover. Put in the fridge for at least 4 hours and up to 12.
To cook the steak
Take the steak out of the fridge about 30 minutes before you want to cook it to let it warm to room temperature.
Heat a little oil in a skillet or frying pan an put on a high heat.
Take the steak out of the marinade and brush of any large pieces of garlic. Put into the skillet and cook for around 4 minutes on each side until nicely seared.
Once cooked, lay the steak on a large piece of tin foil and loosely tent the steak. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing into thin strips.
Build the tacos
Add some sour cream and guacamole to a corn taco and lay three strips of steak on top. Finish with shredded lettuce and corn salsa.
