Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • ice cubes
  • 2 ounces baileys
  • whole milk
  • grated chocolate for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the coffee, water and sugar in a bowl. Whisk until soft peaks that hold their shape form. It will be light in color and glossy.
  • Place the ice cubes in a glass and add the baileys.
  • Add the milk to almost the top of the glass.
  • Spoon the whipped coffee on top and swirl it with a spoon.
  • Stir the coffee before drinking.

Notes

  • You can whip the coffee together with an electric whisk or by hand. Whisking it by hand will take around 7 or 8 minutes and it's a good work out!
  • Stir the drink before enjoying it so that the coffee is all through the drink, not just sitting at the top.
  • I like to garnish the finished cocktail with some grated chocolate.
  • The recipe is easily doubled and tripled, just keep the ratio of the coffee, sugar and water the same in a 1:1:1 ratio.
