Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 tin with parchment, leaving an overhang at the sides.
  • Melt the butter in a pan on a medium heat.
  • Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
  • Place the Rice Krispies in a large bowl and stir in the melted marshmallows until everything is coated.
  • Break up the Oreos and fold into the Rice Krispies.
  • Place the mixture into the lined tin and press down lightly with parchment so that it's even.
  • Place a small pot on a low heat and add the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Gently heat until melted.
  • Spread the chocolate over the top of the Rice Krispies.
  • Place in the fridge until solid (about 45mins) before removing from the pan and cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Be sure to line your tin with parchment before adding the mixture, otherwise they will be near impossible to remove from the tin!
  • The mixture is super sticky, so use a piece of parchment or plastic wrap to press it into the tin.
  • Don't press down on the mixture too hard when placing it in the tin or you will crush the Rice Krispies and you will be left with dense squares.
