Homemade Blueberry Milkshake Recipe

Whip up a delicious and creamy blueberry milkshake in a few minutes with this simple and easy recipe. Ice cream is blended with milk, blueberries, lemon and maple syrup for one delicious frozen drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen (190g)
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream (230g)
  • 1 cup whole milk (235ml)
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • pinch salt
  • whipped cream (optional topping)

Instructions

  • If using frozen blueberries, let them sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before making.
  • Add all of the ingredients into a blender.
    1 cup blueberries, 1 cup vanilla ice cream, 1 cup whole milk, juice of half a lemon, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, pinch salt
  • Blend on high speed for 30 seconds.
  • Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and fresh blueberries.

Notes

  • For best results, use a high speed blender to blend the milkshake.
  • If using frozen blueberries, let them thaw a little first, just 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature, to soften them. Frozen blueberries can cause a slightly grainy texture, but they will still be good to eat.
  • Drink immediately.
  • This recipe makes 1 large or 2 smaller milkshakes.
