Equipment

Ingredients

  • 5 fresh jalapenos
  • 1 teaspoon oil (high heat neutral oil like sunflower, canola or avocado)

Instructions

  • Rub the jalapeno peppers with the oil and place in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 400F / 200c for 10 to 14 minutes (10 minutes if they are on the smaller side) til the skins are charred and they are soft to the touch.
  • To easily remove the skins, place the jalapenos into a bowl and cover with clingfilm. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes and the skins will be easier to remove.

Notes

  • Use a high heat neutral oil like canola, sunflower or avocado.
  • I like to tip a little oil into my hands and rub them over the fresh jalapenos. You can also use an oil spray.
  • Timings can vary depending on how large your jalapenos are. Smaller ones will take around 10 minutes, larger ones around 14.
  • The timings remains the same if you are cooking less or more jalapenos.
