    Frequently Asked Questions

    Are roasted jalapenos less spicy?

Roasting can make the jalapenos slightly less spicy compared to fresh, but it also brings out the wonderful peppery sweet flavors. The heat is in the seeds, so remove or keep those in before using, depending on your tolerance.

Do you have to remove the skins before using?

Yes, it's best to remove the skins of the roasted jalapenos and they can be tough and slightly bitter in flavor.

How do you remove the skins of roasted jalapenos?

The skins can be quite tight and a little fiddly to remove. They come off pretty easily straight out of the air fryer, but you could easily burn yourself doing this.

For the best results, place the roasted jalapenos in a bowl and cover tightly with cling film. Let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes to trap the steam. This will loosen the skin and make them super easy to peel.
