When it comes to busy mornings, you can't go wrong with serving up some Eggos for breakfast!

By far, my favorite way of cooking frozen waffles is in the air fryer. I find that the toaster always gives mixed results, one side is always more done than the other, the microwave just won't give you those crispy edges and the oven takes too long to preheat. The air fryer gives you a perfectly and evenly cooked waffle every single time with perfectly crispy edges, and it's ready in minutes!

Why you will love this recipe!

    • Family friendly: Eggos are great for all ages - plates are always cleared!
    • Quick and easy: Just pop them in the air fryer and they are ready in 6 minutes.
    • Dietary info: These air fryer frozen waffles are vegetarian.

    Ingredients

You just need some frozen waffles for this recipe! I used Eggos, but any brand will work well. Use plain, blueberry, buttermilk, chocolate chips, whatever your favorite is!

    Serving Suggestions

If I'm in a hurry, I just spread a little butter on my waffle and eat on the go, but if we're serving them up on the weekend when we have a bit more time, it's all about the toppings! Try some of these suggestions, or a combination of all of them!

    • Whipped cream
    • Maple syrup
    • Fresh berries
    • Air Fryer Turkey Bacon
    • Sausages
    • Fried chicken
    • They are also a great side dish for a full cooked breakfast.

    Make Ahead and Reheating

Air fried frozen waffles are best enjoyed as soon as they are ready. You can cook them slightly ahead of time and reheat them in the air fryer for 30 seconds to a minute to crisp them back up and warm them through.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to preheat your air fryer?

There is no need to preheat your air fryer to cook Eggos.

Do you need to thaw Eggos before air frying them?

No. They can be cooked in the air fryer directly from frozen.

How many waffles can you cook in the air fryer at one time?

To ensure that you get waffles that are crispy all over, they shouldn't overlap or be stacked on top of each other in the air fryer basket. Cook them side by side without touching. Depending on what air fryer model you have, you will be able to cook 2 to 4 at one time.

Get perfectly soft and crispy frozen waffles every time in your air fryer! So simple and easy and so satisfying! The hard part is deciding what toppings to add!
