    • Quick and easy: Cooked in one pot on the stovetop, you can easily serve these up within 10 minutes.

    Ingredients

    • Eggs: This recipe uses 6 eggs but it can be scaled up or down.
    • Butter: Use salted butter, or add in a little extra salt.
    • Cream: 35% cream adds a real richness to scrambled eggs and makes them extra delicious!
    • Cheddar cheese: Use freshly grated cheddar cheese for the best results. Pre-grated cheese can become slightly grainy due to the anti-caking agent added.

    Recipe Variations

This basic scrambled egg recipe is easy to make your own! Our toddler loves these and I often add in different seasonings to introduce her to new tastes. A teaspoon of garlic or onion powder works great, or try a little paprika. Make them a little spicy with chili flakes or chili powder.

I love to use a strong cheddar cheese in these, but you can opt for a milder one if you prefer.

    Serving Suggestions

These cheesy scrambled eggs are great for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even a quick dinner. Great served up with some buttered toast, or add them to a larger cooked breakfast with air fryer breakfast potatoes, bacon or turkey bacon, and sausages.

    Make Ahead, Storage and Reheating

I often make up a bigger batch of cheesy scrambled eggs to enjoy over a few days. Cook them up, let them cool, then place in an airtight storage container and they will keep in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat them on a low heat, with a little splash of milk so they don't dry out, to heat them through.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make scrambled eggs in the microwave?

Yes, you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave, but they can turn out very rubbery and not light and fluffy. The stovetop method always gives excellent results.

Can you make them lower in fat?

You can easily swap the cream for half and half or even 2% if you prefer, though they won't be as rich. Cottage cheese is a great substitute for the cheddar cheese.
