    Recipe Variations

This cranberry, orange and ginger mocktail is a pretty grown up tasting drink that doesn't have added sugar. If you prefer a sweet drink, you can add a couple of tablespoons of sugar or liquid sweetener to suit your tastes.

The orange juice can be swapped with apple juice for a different but delicious flavor or try squeezing in the juice of a lime or two for a zingier flavor.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make it ahead of time?

If you are making this to keep on hand in the fridge, I recommend not adding the ice to the pitcher as it will melt and dilute the drink. You can add the ginger ale, though it will start to lose it's fizz, but it's still tasty even without the bubbles.

    Can you make it alcoholic?

Absolutley! You can half the fruit juices and ginger ale and top up the jug with white wine or sparkling wine to make a sangria. You could also easily swap a cup of the juices and replace it with a spirit like vodka, gin or rum to make a punch.

What size jug do you need to make this drink?

This recipe makes about 8 cups, so you will need a large 68 ounce / 2 liter jug, if you only have a smaller pitcher to hand, then the recipe is easily halved.

Two glasses of juice next to a pitcher.

    How to serve

You can serve this mocktail straight out of the jug into glasses, but to make it extra festive, rim your glasses with some sugar, add some extra sliced fruits and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary.

    Recipe Notes and Tips

    • Where possible, use sugar-free and 100% pure fruit juices.
    • If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can stir in some sugar, honey or maple syrup.
    • Don't add ice to the pitcher if you are making it ahead of time.
    • Keep the drink covered and refrigerated.
