How to make strawberry infused water

Be sure to scroll down for the full list of ingredients and instructions!

    • Place the sliced fruits and mint into a large jug.
    • Top with water and chill.

    Use fresh or frozen fruits

I prefer to use fresh fruits as I find the flavor to be more pronounced, but frozen strawberries will work well and can be more convenient. They will also help to chill your water more quickly.

    Add ice to chill it

If you don't have room in your fridge to chill this strawberry infused water, add in some ice cubes before you add in the water. This will allow you to get a nice chilled drink that can be kept at room temperature.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much water should you drink each day?

It's recommended that men consume 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of water a day, and for women it's 11.5 cups (2.7 liters), and about 20% of this water will be ingested through food. If you exercise or in a hotter environment you may need more.

    How long does it keep?

This water will keep well in your fridge for 2 to 3 days. Just keep an eye on your fruits and if they start to go off then it's best to make a new batch.

How long does it take for the flavor to infuse?

I would say the minimum amount of time you want to let the water infuse with the fruits is about 2 hours for a good flavor. I like to make a batch of it in the evening and pop it in the fridge ad it's ready to enjoy in the morning.

    Recipe Notes and Tips

    • Make this strawberry infused water in the largest jug you can, something like this glass pitcher or gallon drinking bottle will work well.
    • Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
    • Try swapping the mint for basil for a different herby flavor.
